LMAO, Species!!
Ahem. Hehe!!
I don't think romance is dead at all. It's just hard to find, I guess. It all depends on the individual.

Re: Romance
I agree. It is hard to find and there are people who see fit to take the p*ss out of you for being a romantic, especially if you're a guy.

Yeah most of the guys nowadays go out chick-hunting and then see who nailed more chicks.
I find that rather, lets say, useless

Re: Romance
I consider myself to be a very romantic person. I write poetry intended for the one that I "love" and try to do so on a regular basis. You'll have to excuse the use of the word "love", as I do not believe it can be said with just a single word; but that's for another topic.
Being romantic, though, isn't about big expensive gestures, it's about making each and every day special in whatever way you can or, indeed, want. Everyone's opinion of romance differs, it's important to remember that

Romance is not dead. Anyone who thinks it is needs to step back and take a damn good look at themselves.

Re: Romance
I don't think either of them is dead. Romance is in how you treat the person you love, I think. It's about respect, and affecting, and about noticing them, so you can do the "little things" that can really make a difference (like doing the washing so your wife doesn't have to after slogging through an incredibly long, trying and stressful week of exams and stuff at uni...) because at the end of the day, it's the little things that can count to a successful relationship, more than grand extravagant gestures.
Chivalry isn't dead either, it's just in hiding.
